Moe Smith

Lead Pastor

Pastor Moe was born in Bakersfield, CA and raised at Bakersfield’s Olive Knolls Church of the Nazarene. He is an ordained elder in the church of the Nazarene and has served in ministry for the past 15 years in various roles, from youth to young adults to now, lead pastor. Previous pastoral positions include Olive Knolls Church, in Bakersfield, and SLO Naz, in San Luis Obispo. He is married to his beautiful wife, Tara and together, they have three children, Paisley, Brixton, and Hallie. Moe enjoys all things outdoors—surfing, hiking, camping, and climbing. A day exploring the beach with the family is his favorite kind of day.

His motto in life and ministry is “victoriously united.” He believes we’re truly at our best when we’re doing life together authentically for the sake of the kingdom.

Moe’s favorite passage of scripture is Hebrews 12: 1–3.

Children’s & Nursery Director

Hi! My name is Anna Banana! Like, really!!! I have been at Las Flores for 30ish years. I have raised my kids here and been in the lives of countless others. I have been married for 36 years and I have been in Oceanside for 34. I was a Military spouse for 20+ years. I know I am called to teach our kids about Jesus' love and teach them how to shine and be a light to others.

Hi! My name is Sophie! I have been apart of Las Flores since I first moved to Carlsbad when I was 14. This church is where my husband, Cale, and I met and fell in love! We are newly married and just welcomed our little girl, Willa-Jean! We are so happy to call Las Flores our home, and I am so grateful to serve here as our church’s administrator and help run the youth with my husband!

Jenny Anderson

Pastoral Care and Counselor

Jenye Anderson serves as our church counselor, providing Christ-centred counseling and emotional support to individuals, couples, and families within the church and community. Jenye promotes spiritual, emotional, and relational health through biblically grounded guidance, compassionate care, and professional counseling for our staff and our congregation.

RYAN ROBBINS

Audio Engineer

Ryan Robins has served at Las Flores church since his first moments here in 2021. A bookkeeper by trade and audio engineer by calling, Ryan is honored to facilitate Las Flores Church's technical needs. When he isn't manning the tech booth, he can be found tending the church grounds.

His life verse is Romans 8:28: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.
