Missionary Support

Our very own Baylee Mitchell heard God’s call at the age of 8 and now, at 19 years old, she is serving full-time in Thailand.

“I am 19 years old. I feel called to Mae Sai, which is the most northern part of Thailand that borders Burma, modern-day Myanmar. I am partnering with a ministry called Victory International and will be teaching English at their new English center and helping to pioneer the children’s program for their church. I will also be helping in their vision as they pioneer a church for the Burmese. I will be there for the next 5 years possibly more. My goal is to raise $1000 monthly but any one-time donations are welcomed. My other major needs would be a prayer for wisdom as I prepare and for perseverance as I learn to speak Thai fluently.”

Update from Baylee

สวัสดีค่ะ,
Salutations and hello to all my amazing friends and family from not so sunny, San Diego. You know what time it is: Baylee’s Monthly Update.

First, I want to wish everyone a very belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, even though I’m a couple of days late. As always, words truly cannot express how thankful and appreciative I am for every single one of you. Thank you for continuing to shower me with such abundant generosity, love, encouragement, and support. I feel it constantly, and I never take it for granted.

This past season has honestly been a challenging one, but I’m finally feeling some clarity. I’ve hit a few dead ends and walked through doors that God may have been closing, but in doing so, He’s revealed new ones. Even in the confusion, God continues to show His faithfulness in ways I can’t ignore. I seek His guidance daily, and He has met me with wisdom, peace, and a solution for the time being.

One of the biggest blessings in the middle of all the visa chaos has been the gift of rest. God blessed me with an amazing visit to the States, giving me time with my family and space to reflect on this upcoming season of transition. I’m so grateful for the chance to slow down, breathe, and reset my heart. I also got to celebrate my 22nd birthday surrounded by family, and it was such a special, joy-filled time.

Despite still facing constant challenges with my visa, I’m trusting that God is working behind the scenes. Please continue to pray that my visa will be approved by the time I need to leave the States. I’m holding onto peace and trusting His timing, even when the details remain uncertain.

I am currently waiting for the upcoming semester at Miracosta. Due to my Visa I am also going to start Thai lessons at a Thai language school when I get back to Thailand.

As for the dogos, they are doing great. The dog house has been keeping me updated with plenty of pictures and videos. I miss them so much, but I know they’re being deeply loved and absolutely spoiled rotten, which brings me a lot of comfort.

Prayer Requests
• Please pray for my visa, which is currently unresolved, and for wisdom and clarity as I navigate the next steps.
• Pray for discernment in all areas as I walk through this transition season.
• Blessings over my current church, the language center, and the people I continue to serve and learn from.
• Prayer for peace and smooth transitions during this season of change, including travel and upcoming decisions.

Thank you again for walking with me through every season, every transition, and every unknown. Your prayers, encouragement, and love mean more than I could ever fully express.

Lots of love and God’s blessings,
Baylee
