Missionary Support

Our very own Baylee Mitchell heard God’s call at the age of 8 and now, at 19 years old, she is serving full-time in Thailand.

“I am 19 years old. I feel called to Mae Sai, which is the most northern part of Thailand that borders Burma, modern-day Myanmar. I am partnering with a ministry called Victory International and will be teaching English at their new English center and helping to pioneer the children’s program for their church. I will also be helping in their vision as they pioneer a church for the Burmese. I will be there for the next 5 years possibly more. My goal is to raise $1000 monthly but any one-time donations are welcomed. My other major needs would be a prayer for wisdom as I prepare and for perseverance as I learn to speak Thai fluently.”

Update from Baylee

Honestly, I would be lying if I didn’t admit this season has been physically and mentally exhausting and challenging. I feel I have hit a couple dead ends and continue to slam into doors that I feel God may be trying to close. Despite these frustrating and extremely confusing and conflicting feelings that I have been experiencing God has been blessing me and continuing to show His faithfulness. Thank you for all your love and prayers as I went to Laos and had to deal with the visa emergency

Teaching & Ministry

God continues to open new doors in ministry! I’ve been teaching three new students at another center and exploring opportunities to teach at a Burmese center as well. I miss the local school I was volunteering at and hope to return once my visa is settled. I’ve seen God use this season to grow me and connect me with new people.
We’ve also been partnering with other ministries and preparing for a busy season ahead. Several teams will be visiting soon—including one from Canada! It’s going to be a full but exciting few months.

Summit & Two-Year Milestone

This month I got to celebrate two years of living full-time in Thailand! Time has flown, and I’m so grateful for how God has led, carried, and taught me through these past two years.
Right after that, I returned to Chiang Rai from our annual Summit Conference, where Victory churches from all over Asia, Canada, a few from the U.S., and even England gathered together. We had over ten nations represented! It was such a powerful time of unity, worship, and vision.
God has been revealing more about my calling and what He’s doing in the future. Some exciting opportunities are coming up in March, as I may have the chance and privilege to visit a pastor friend in Myanmar. Please pray that God continues to lead and confirm His plans.

Driving

I’m growing more confident every day. I’m officially a local driver now. I have learned that driving really tests your patience and is definitely a good way to release frustration-talking to yourself is key in this scenario and bonus you also develop the skills of humility and discipline. I have also found my confidence has increased. There is still a lot to learn and I can always improve, but I am a safe driver if I do say so myself.

Visa Update

My visa situation hasn’t changed yet, but I’m continuing to pray and trust God for direction and open doors. Even when things feel uncertain, I know He’s working behind the scenes and preparing the way forward. Please keep praying with me for wisdom and clarity. Due to a short extension, I am coming back to the states way earlier than I anticipated. I will be coming back on December 3rd.

College Life

College has been going well! I’m really enjoying my English class, and I just enrolled in two new classes for the upcoming semester.

A Quick Dog Update

The dogs are doing great and continue to bring me lots of laughter and comfort in the chaos . I’m thankful for their companionship and the joy and chaos they bring each day.

Prayer Requests

• For my visa process—for wisdom, clarity, and open doors

• For clarity and discernment on where God is leading me for the upcoming season

• For the Canadian team coming soon

• For the two interns from India and the couple who just arrived—that they would settle well and find God’s purpose here
