Missionary Support
Our very own Baylee Mitchell heard God’s call at the age of 8 and now, at 19 years old, she is serving full-time in Thailand.
“I am 19 years old. I feel called to Mae Sai, which is the most northern part of Thailand that borders Burma, modern-day Myanmar. I am partnering with a ministry called Victory International and will be teaching English at their new English center and helping to pioneer the children’s program for their church. I will also be helping in their vision as they pioneer a church for the Burmese. I will be there for the next 5 years possibly more. My goal is to raise $1000 monthly but any one-time donations are welcomed. My other major needs would be a prayer for wisdom as I prepare and for perseverance as I learn to speak Thai fluently.”

Update from Baylee
สวัสดีค่ะ, Greetings to all my amazing friends and family from the other side of the world. Welcome to another segment of Baylee’s Monthly Update.
Honestly, this month has been challenging but I am finally feeling some clarity. The few dead ends I have slammed into and the doors that God might be closing are revealing new ones. Even with all the confusion, God continues to demonstrate His faithfulness in ways I cannot ignore. I continue to seek his guidance every day.
On the positive side of all the chaos, challenges and uncertainty I have encountered with my visa I get to spend the whole month of December and majority of January in the states. I will be home for Christmas!!
⸻
Teaching and Ministry
God keeps opening new doors in ministry. I’ve been teaching three new students from another ministry. I still miss the local school where I was volunteering and hope to return once my visa is sorted. Even in the uncertainty, I’ve seen God use this stretch to grow me and connect me with new people.
⸻
A New Home
This month came with a huge milestone. I found a new house for rent and will be moving out of the center. I am so excited for this next chapter. It already feels like a fresh start and a place where God is creating room for new growth, new peace, and new purpose. As challenging as this season has been, this home feels like a gift and a reminder that God still leads me step by step.
⸻
A Season of Transition
I can feel that I’m standing in a transition season. It’s stretching me in ways I didn’t expect. There are moments of uncertainty and also moments where God drops clarity right when I need it. Between the move, ministry changes, and visa unknowns, I’m learning to trust Him with every detail. It’s a lot all at once, but I know He is steady even when everything around me shifts.
⸻
Driving
I’m growing more confident behind the wheel each day. I think I can officially say I’m a local driver now. Driving has tested my patience and reminded me to stay humble, but it has also boosted my confidence. I still have plenty to learn, but I’m safe and getting better every week.
⸻
Visa Update
My visa situation hasn’t changed yet. I’m praying and trusting God for direction and open doors. Even in the uncertainty, I know He continues to appear and is constantly working behind the scenes. I can’t believe the time has come and the time this letter is sent out I will be on a plane headed to America.
⸻
College Life
I am still thriving in college. I am so thankful the semester is ending for my phych class but I am sad my English class is ending. Can’t wait for my two new classes next semester.
⸻
A Quick Dog Update
The dogs are doing great and still keep me laughing. They bring so much comfort and joy in the middle of the chaos, and I’m thankful for them every single day. I have been braver with taking them out so we have found a beautiful new walking spot and we went to Chiang Rai and explored the dog friendly places of the city.
⸻
Prayer Requests
• Please pray for my visa, which is currently non-existent, and for wisdom as I figure out the next steps, and wisdom and discernment in all areas
• Blessings over my current church and the language center
• navigating and walking through this transition season
• Pray for my new house and the moving process, that everything goes smoothly and with peace
⸻
As always, I am very thankful for all of you for joining me on this journey. Your prayers, encouragement, and support mean more than words can say.
With deep gratitude, love, appreciation, and sincerity,
Baylee
