Some of her favorite ways to have fun are playing Uno with her kids, messing around with her dogs, gardening, figure skating, and going to Jazzercise. Meet Kylyn Kinnee. She is a senior in high school and a part of Rooted Youth Group. At Thrive Thursdays, Kylyn doubles as a group leader and the Children’s Worship Leader. On Sundays, she may be singing in the worship band or volunteering in the nursery. When Kylyn isn’t helping at LFC, she is pursuing her passion—singing! But besides music, she also loves books. “Jesus Feminist” is one of her favorites! Kylyn isn’t afraid to ask tough questions and is a beautiful example of Matthew 5:16; she lets her light shine before others in ways that point to and glorify God. He is our main sound, lighting, and media operator for church events. He assists with score-keeping at kids’ Bible Quiz meets and serves in the Welcome Ministry once a month. He also loves leading Arts & Crafts during Thrive Thursdays. Through art, kids learn about discipleship, but Jackson’s favorite part is hearing the students discuss the lesson and seeing them experiment with the activity. He measures the success of the craft by the messiness of the room! At nearly all other times, Jackson is drawing. He says, “if I'm sitting down for longer than a couple of minutes, I start doodling.” He also enjoy photography, watching movies, and has recently gotten back into reading and playing video games. Jackson blesses our church through all the ways he gives of his time and talents. We appreciate his kindness, love, and expertise! 1) If you could transform into an animal at will, which would you pick? “A bird, definitely. I've always wanted to be able to fly. Just looked it up, apparently the Arctic Tern is the bird capable of flying the farthest distances, so I would transform into an Arctic Tern.” 2) What do you love about Christmas? “There are more opportunities to spend time with the people I love.” 3) What's something you love about LFC? “I see the congregation as my family.
